Overview

Dial is a workout tracking app that prioritizes your privacy. Your workout data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We collect limited, anonymous usage data to improve the app.

Your Workout Data

Local Storage

All workout data—exercises, sets, templates, and progress—is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud Sync

If enabled, your data syncs across your devices using your personal iCloud account. This data remains in your iCloud storage and is never accessible to us. You can disable iCloud sync in Settings.

We Never Have Access To

Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how people use Dial and improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. You can delete all local and iCloud data by uninstalling the app and removing Dial from your iCloud storage (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage > Dial).

Children's Privacy

Dial is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
